Removing Paintball Stains from Clothes
Food-grade materials are used to make paintballs. This also indicates that the colors used inside them are food-safe. Almost all paint marks should come out with regular washing detergent if they are rinsed right away.
1. Use Stain Remover
On the paint area, use a stain remover. It is recommended that you first pretreat the discolored areas with something like Resolve stain removal pre-treatment. This is because the paint may have been on the outfit for over 8 hours by the time you come home to do the laundry. If you don’t clean your paintball clothes regularly, you’ll find it difficult to remove stains once they’ve dried.
2. Use TBSP of Ammonia
What happens if the stain on the clothes isn’t removed? Then combine a cup of water, a TBSP of ammonia, and a Teaspoon of Dawn washing soap in a mixing bowl. Soak your clothes in this combination for about a half-hour before running them second wash cycle in the machine. After you’ve finished washing it, air dry it again to see if the stain has been completely removed.
3. Dry
You should dry paintball clothing in the sun. The cloths will be stain-free after drying.
How to remove Paintball Stains from Leather or Jersey?
If paintball paint has harmed your vest, pant, or paintball jersey, there are a few actions you must take.
- Pre-soak either your jeans or jersey in something similar to OxiClean in the cold to warm water for at least 45 minutes and an hour; usually, the paint will flake off after this time.
- Toss everything in the washing machine with ice water and a sensitive cycle to get it completely clean. Before starting, make sure all zippers are closed, all buttons are clasped, and all Velcro is securely connected.
- Words and other components may begin to break off or worsen because the nylon that most trousers and sweaters are composed of can’t take the heat well.
- If you want your paintball attires to last as long as possible, hang them out to air dry.
- The one thing nylon can’t handle is the heat.
- Gently air dry and wash in cold water. You can also use conventional detergent instead of OxiClean, which can work, but I’ve discovered that it often leaves a residue on the trousers and jersey, making them itchy.

How to wash Paintball Masks?
Paintball masks and lances are tough to clean. Scratches on paintball masks and lances will require troubleshooting. You can wash your cover with water and dry it with a microfiber towel, but you should let it air dry because the foam takes a while to dry completely.
When wiping or polishing a lens, never use paper towels, toilet paper, or other substances. Cleaning masks with soft paper is preferable. You should clean the front in the following manner:
- To clean a paintball mask, take a moist hand cloth or paper towel and wipe it down with it. Just make sure to wipe off your lens with a different microfiber cloth to avoid leaving any scratches.
- The best way to clean and maintain a paintball mask is to remove the lens entirely and thoroughly wash it with warm water.
- Just be careful not to completely submerge your mask in the water, as this may cause the adhesive that holds the foam to act to disintegrate over time.
- Use a toothbrush to scrub it.
